WHAT IS MOBILE RV SERVICE AND WHY
A mobile RV technician is exactly what it sounds like: a well equipped, certified technician who comes to you. We carry the tools, parts, and expertise to handle most RV repairs and maintenance on-site — no shop required.
We’re well suited for the jobs where time really matters: the furnace that won’t light before a big trip, the AC that stopped cooling mid-summer, the slide-out that won’t retract. At a busy shop, that kind of job can mean a weeks-long wait — we can often be there within a day or two, sometimes the same day.
That said, we’re not just for emergencies. Routine maintenance, pre-season inspections, and new-owner education are all part of what we do. The difference is that we fit around your life, not the other way around.
Traditional Shop vs. Mobile RV Repair
The real difference — before you make the call
Shops are busy, and RVs take up a lot of space. Between incoming units, parts delays, and a full service queue, even straightforward repairs can stretch to several weeks — and while your rig is there, you won't have access to it.
Most repairs are completed same day or within a couple of days. Your RV never moves — you keep full access the whole time.
Service advisors handle a high volume of customers, which means direct access to the technician working on your RV can be limited. Updates may come less frequently than you'd like, and detailed questions about the repair can be harder to get answered quickly.
You talk directly to the technician doing the work — on-site, in real time. Ask anything. We explain what we find and what it will cost before we start.
Most shops work standard business hours, and with a full calendar of units ahead of yours, they have to work through them in order. It's not a lack of care — it's simply the reality of managing a busy shop floor with limited space and staff.
We come to you — driveway, campsite, or storage unit. No towing, no drop-offs, no wasted trips. We work around your schedule.
Business hours only, often booked weeks out. Emergencies typically go to the back of the queue — or aren't handled at all.
Flexible scheduling including evenings. In an emergency you become the top priority — we work around your situation, not a shop calendar.
Shop rates may look lower, but factor in towing, two trips, missed work, and weeks without your RV during prime camping season.
Our rates are not significantly higher. Beyond a flat diagnostic fee, labor and parts are competitively priced — with full transparency before we start.
WHEN DOES MOBILE MAKE SENSE
Mobile service is often the clearest choice when:
- Any time you need help!
- You’re at a campsite or away from home and something breaks — we can come to you.
- Your RV isn’t driveable and hauling it to a shop isn’t practical or affordable.
- You need it fixed quickly and a shop is scheduling with days or weeks wait.
- You want to talk directly to the person doing the work, ask questions, and understand exactly what’s being done.
- You’re a new RV owner and want a proper, unhurried walk-through of your rig before your first trip.
WHAT ABOUT PRICING
We're transparent about costs — it's one of our core values. Our flat diagnostic fee covers the visit, a thorough on-site inspection, and an honest discussion of your repair options and estimated costs before any work begins.
Labor and parts are competitively priced. When you factor in the real cost of towing, time off work for drop-offs and pick-ups, and potentially losing weeks with your camper during peak season — mobile service often works out as the better value overall.
