Pricing Policy
At RV Geek, we believe you deserve better than vague estimates and surprise bills. That’s why we’ve created one of the clearest, most upfront pricing policies in the RV service industry. No hidden fees, no bait-and-switch, no “we’ll figure it out when we get there.” We treat every customer with professionalism, respect, and kindness and strive for complete transparency — because when you know exactly what to expect, you can relax and enjoy the journey again. Below is our full pricing policy in plain English. What you see is exactly what you’ll pay. Telephone consultations are always free – so if you aren’t sure, just give us a call!
1. Mobile Convenience Fee & First Hour Labor
A non-refundable diagnostic fee of $279.00 will be applied to all service calls. This fee covers the time and travel expenses associated with assessing the problem and determining the scope of the concern, repair options, and determining if the repair is cost effective for you.
Also, this includes a credit toward your first hour of labor. Of course, all options will be discussed, from a simple band-aid to a comprehensive solution. Parts not included.
2. Extended Travel if outside our service area
Sometimes, we are asked to travel great distances to help. We are happy to try to accommodate, call us for details.
3. Larger Repairs or Shop/Bench Work
RV manufacturers love to hide things and change designs every year, so a firm price is often impossible until the unit is fully opened and tested. After the initial diagnosis, I’ll give you the most accurate labor range possible, explaining exactly what I found and justifying the time required. You’ll receive an estimate before any additional work begins, and you are never obligated to proceed. The $279 diagnostic fee applies either way.
4. Parts
- All parts are priced fairly and reasonably.
- Special-order parts require payment in full before ordering and are non-refundable, as many parts are non-refundable to us, or carry high restocking fees
- You will always be given the exact part number, description, supplier, and final price for approval before anything is ordered.
- We purchase from reputable dealers – we avoid, whenever possible, cheap copycat items but if we do, it is fully disclosed and agreed upon.
- If you decide not to proceed with the repair after a part has been ordered and paid for, the part will be shipped or made available to you at your cost, but there are no refunds on special-order parts.
5. Return / Installation Trip (when parts are ordered)
When a repair requires a second trip after a part arrives, all return travel and installation labor will be included in the written repair estimate you approve before the part is ordered.
Because many customers are traveling, the return-trip quote will be based on a pre-determined location you provide at the time of ordering the part. Any change in location that increases travel time or mileage will require a revised quote before the return visit is scheduled.
6. Warranty
All labor is warranted for 30 days from the date of repair. If the same issue reoccurs due to workmanship within that period, it will be corrected at no labor charge. Parts are covered solely by the original manufacturer’s warranty. Warranty service must be performed within my normal service area (1 hour from Greenfield, Indiana). If the RV has moved outside this area, it must be returned to the service area at the owner’s expense.
This policy is designed for complete transparency and fairness. You’ll always know exactly what something costs and why before you commit.
Thank you for your trust and your business!
