    About as good as you’re going to get for under $100 The Whistler XTR-435 Radar/Laser Detector is one of Whistler’s newest models for 2012, and is an update to the now discontinued Whistler XTR-430. Despite costing under $100, it has many features, and detects all the most common forms of radar in use today. Being a budget detector, it does have its limitations and faults though.     False alarms!!! But functions can reduce sensitivity I have owned $200 radars and in comparison, this one is average. For under $100 it does have some up-sides. However, it gives off a ton of false alarms. I live in California and it goes off in traffic all the time. Radar Detectors under $100 are cheap and most of the time ineffective but this radar is different. It works!
