    Great alternative to windshield/dash mounts I ordered this item looking for an alternative to the large suction-cup-type mounts. I have a smaller car, and windshield/dashboard space comes at a premium. Additionally, a lot of the suction-cup-type products come with a gel membrane to help them stick better, but leave bad oil stains on the interior of the car.     Awesome! I installed this in both our 2013 Ford Fusion as well as our 2010 Toyota RAV4. I used my older Garmin and my wife’s newer Garmin. It worked perfectly in both cars and with both Garmins.It fastens into the CD slot securely, tightens nicely and doesn’t go in far enough to do any damage to the head unit even if you were to over-tighten it.
