Camco 40631 EVO Premium Water Filter

Camco’s EVO Premium RV Water Filter reduces bad taste, odors, sediment, bacteria, chlorine and much more. It includes the filter housing, one extension hose and one replaceable premium spun polypropylene filter cartridge. Filtration begins with water traveling through the porous shell with openings no greater than 5 microns in diameter. Filtered water passes through a bed of KDF and GAC (granulated active carbon) for further filtration and bacteria control. The result is fresh, clean, great tasting drinking water straight from your tap. It connects externally to your RV’s fresh water hose connection. The filter typically lasts one camping season. CSA low lead content certified. Complies with California’s AB1953 and Vermont Act 193 Low Lead Laws.
Not designed for fish tanks or ponds. No testing has been done for this purpose

    Does The Job I had an older Camco Water Filter but couldn’t find any replacement filters anymore so I bought this one. I’m not disappointed. It’s definitely heavier than my older one. I’m able to put in on the rear bumper of my 5th Wheel while in use otherwise I would purchase a stand for it.A couple of reviews mentioned leaks at the connections. If you use the teflon tape that comes with the unit and tighten the conections properly (don’t over-torque), you’ll be fine.I’ve camped now at a place…

    I’d give more stars if I could… I bought the RV water filter (CAMCO 40631) and followed the directions for installing it. My husband was out of town at the time, and I didn’t want to wait.So, of course, the very first thing I do is over-torque one of the connections and I broke it.I called CAMCO customer service, and explained what I had done, and asked who I needed to talk to so I could buy the parts I needed.     Filters great, but will potentially leak.. Very, very cheap design…the regular KDF filters were not working as the water department here sux, they keep flushing mud down the lines and clogging the little inline filters from camco, so I decided to upgrade to this one, “along with a new kdf inline from camco (the regular $10 filter) about a foot from where it connect to the trailer, I used the little hose screen washers on each connection, as I do not want to deal with mud clogging the lines in my trailer again (was real fun…
