Is it Working??? All car components test A+. Solar charger fuse, connections all good. But, amber LED never turns green after hours in South Florida sunshine using either alligator clips or ring harness. If I go North for a few months as usual, will I return to a dead battery? Who knows? I don’t want to find out at 3AM some night when I arrive the charger failed to charge and I’m stuck waiting for ride or for AAA to show up. Buy a product that works as described.UPDATE: contacted Deltran service by…

Many units don’t work out of the box but seem like they are…. Mine also did not work, in bright sunlight it will only “pulse” current (according to my meter). Please read all the reviews before buying. Although this has a fairly high rating, there seems to be A LOT of these units that don’t work right out of the box. As I have a car stored in a remote area I did not discover this was not working until it was too late to return. The amber “charging” light came on so it seemed like it was working. It was used on two different batteries and…

Bought it for one purpose, now use it on a few. Probably need to buy a few more. Perfect for topping off the 12V battery while it sits in the parked travel trailer. I connected this with sensitive test equipment while also measuring current draw of the trailer, and this peaks at 1.0 amps on a sunny day, and you are aimed within 30 deg. of the sun. (It’s rated 10W but I got a reliable 12+ watts under ideal conditions.) Clouds make a huge difference (this is typical). The shadow of my hand drops the output from 1.0 amps to 0.68 amps, that is, about a third less output. Be…
